Summer might feel far away, but we are already counting down the days until Camp HOPE 2026 – this year marking year TEN of Camp HOPE in Guilford County! We aim to make it the best summer yet. We currently have space available for new children to join the program. If you have worked with a family that has children ages 7-14 who would benefit from a supportive community where they can make friends, try new things, and discover hope, I invite you to fill out the attached brief referral form and send it my way! If you need a release in order to share background information with me, an ROI for the caregiver to sign is included with the referral form. The attached program flyer can also be shared with families to give them more details about the program.
Basic reminders about the FJC Youth Program:
- Youth must be age 7-14 and have some experience of domestic violence or abuse in their home.
- They cannot be court ordered to participate or involved with juvenile justice
- We offer year-round mentoring and group activities, as well as the opportunity to attend overnight camp in the summer (camp attendance is based on readiness and not guaranteed)
We have some fun activities planned starting this month, so as soon I can get kids connected with us, they can start meeting friends and having fun! If you have any questions feel free to reach out via email or 336-641-2314. Thank you for all you do to serve families in our community!

The Guilford County Family Justice Center provides specialized youth programming that offers youth living with domestic violence and trauma a pathway to hope through year-round community, mentoring, and summer camp. This youth programming includes small and large group activities throughout the year, and a week of overnight summer camp called Camp HOPE. Guilford County, a proud affiliate of Camp HOPE America since 2016, was selected as the first Camp HOPE America site in North Carolina. It is our shared goal to create experiences for all participants that increase hope, resilience, and change destinies.
