Worthy of the Kingdom
2 Thessalonians 1: 3 - 5
3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, 4 so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and [a]tribulations that you endure, 5 which is manifest[b] evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer;
Faith is “the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen.” When people see your faith in action does it cause them to grow closer to God?
Paul the Apostle commends these saints their faith was shown in exuberant love to their fellow brethren. Even though this church was experiencing severe tribulation, they were still seeking God’s will for their lives.
It is my prayer that we all be counted worthy of the kingdom of God.
