What's Your Plan?

Proverbs 16: 1 - 3 (CEV)

1 We humans make plans, but the Lord has the final word. 2 We may think we know what is right, but the Lord is the judge of our motives. 3 Share your plans with the Lord, and you will succeed.

Oh, how many plans we make!  Even from childhood the question is always presented “What do you want to be when you grow up?”  This scripture isn’t saying that we should stop planning.  We simply need to understand that ultimately all of our plans must go through God.  Yes, He always has the final word!

The older I get the more I realize that God is the only one who really knows what’s going on.  We can only judge someone’s actions, but God can judge someone’s motives as well.  Sometimes we do the right thing but for selfish reasons.  

So how do we get it right? “Share your plans with the Lord and you will succeed!”  What an awesome God we serve!
