Slow Down!

James 1:19 - 20

“So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”

Have you ever gotten behind someone who was driving really slow?  Maybe you were driving on a two lane road and it wasn’t possible to pass this slower car.  You were forced to slow down to what felt like a snail’s pace! 

We must apply this same concept to our speech and our tempers.  Even though we want to speed up and just let our words flow, there are no passing lanes for that kind of behavior.  The Holy Spirit wants to take control.  So, let’s just slow down and enjoy the scenery!
