Colossians 2: 6 - 7

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding [a]in it with thanksgiving.”

I have been fighting a vine that is trying to smother my trees. One thing I have learned about this vine … it grows quickly!  Every day I see a new sprout as it tries to make its way up the tree.  In some places the vine has covered the tree.  It looks like the tree is bushy with healthy green leaves, but when you look closer it’s just the vine covering up the tree.  

In some ways, when it pertains to the things of Christ, we should be like the vine.  We should constantly grow in Him, crawling into His presence and wrapping our arms around His Spirit, clinging to Him for life.  If we did this, what kind of lives would we live?
