Read the Word!

1 Thessalonians 5:27

“I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read to all the holy brethren.” NKJV

This is a short but powerful verse.  Paul the Apostle charges the church in Thessalonica to read his letter to “all the holy brethren.” We must read the Word, but this portion of scripture encourages us to read ALOUD!

We often say that God’s word means everything to us, but we don’t meditate on it consistently. We listen to music, the news, or watch tv and movies, but how often do we listen to God’s word?

Remember Romans 10:17, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”
