Hebrews 12: 14 -15
14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;
How much peace do you have? Notice, the scripture tells us to pursue peace with all people, and holiness, “without which no one will see the Lord.” Pursue means to run after or track down. Why is pursuing peace so important?
Well, the enemy’s main focus is to steal our peace. He wants to bring confusion and turmoil. Without peace the seeds of bitterness start to grow, causing us all kinds of trouble. Also, this scripture points out that peace and holiness are required to see God. If we don’t pursue peace we risk falling short of the grace of God.
So, let’s take our pursuit of peace more seriously in the days to come, so that we can be please God.
