Pray!

Luke 22: 40

40 When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

The scene is the Garden of Gethsemane.  Jesus is hours from being crucified.  The disciples are full and satisfied from the Passover feast.  They don’t know that Judas’ betrayal is just around the corner.  Of course, Jesus does know all of these things.  He says, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

Temptation is coming for all of us - yes - all of us!  At some point in time temptation is on it’s way!  So many people wait to pray until they have already entered into temptation.  That’s like trying to change a tire when the car is still moving!  

So, let’s not wait to pray! Let’s pray in season and out of season.  Let pray in the morning, night and noon.  Let’s pray at all times that we not enter into temptation!
