Lord, Lead the Way

Numbers 10: 35 - 36

“35 So it was, whenever the ark set out, that Moses said:

“Rise up, O Lord!
Let Your enemies be scattered,
And let those who hate You flee before You.”

36 And when it rested, he said:

“Return, O Lord,
To the many thousands of Israel.”

 

Our God wants to lead us, but so often we get out ahead of Him. In today’s scripture Moses prays for God to rise up! In essence he is saying, “Lord, please lead us.” 

Moses understands that when God is leading, His enemies will be scattered! But my favorite part is, “Return O Lord, to the many thousands of Israel.” 

Let us never take God’s presence for granted!
