Act Like It!

Proverbs 30: 5 - 6

“Every word of God is [a]pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

6 

Do not add to His words,
Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.”

I once spoke with someone who said with confidence that they knew God’s Word.  I had one huge problem with their statement.  I asked them, “If you know God’s Word why don’t you live like it?”

Do you really know God’s Word?  To really know something is to put it into practice. We shouldn’t add our own thoughts and feelings to the word of God, or try to find “loopholes” to avoid keeping His commandments.  We should try with all that is in us to live according to His will.
