Keep His Commandments

1 John 5:2-3

“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.”

Our love for God is tied to our obedience to what He has commanded. So many people say they love God but don’t do what He told them to do. We have all fallen short of God’s mandates, but as Christians the defining point of our lives is doing what our Father has requested of us. 

But don’t despair! His commandments are not burdensome. He has so graciously given us His blessed Holy Spirit  to sustain us through this walk of holiness.
