I Will Not Fear!

Psalms 56: 3 - 4

Whenever I am afraid,
I will trust in You.

In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me?

Fear can come in all forms and fashions. Maybe someone walks up on you unawares. Maybe you find yourself in some kind of traffic incident. Maybe there is a health concern and you’re expecting the worst. Fear affects us all.

But the psalmist makes this declaration: whenever he is afraid he will trust the Lord.  He goes on to explain that he will praise His word and not fear.  That should be our daily declaration of faith. No matter what comes we will trust the Lord!
