God’s Good Pleasure

Philippians 2: 12 - 13

“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”

Our salvation is serious!  Paul the apostle, led by the Holy Spirit, commands the believers to “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” How do we do that? We stay close to our heavenly Father, read His word daily, and pray without ceasing.

We must recognize that we were bought with a price.  God desires to do His good pleasure in us.
