Galatians 2:6
6 But from those who seemed to be something—whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God [a]shows personal favoritism to no man—for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me.
Paul the apostle has been used mightily of the Lord. In our day we would compare him to the likes of T.D. Jakes or Billy Graham. The difference might be the amount of pain and suffering Paul went through for the cause of Christ. In spite of his suffering he was able to write 2/3’s of the New Testament. God used him in an amazing way, but Paul resisted getting the “big head.” God made sure of this by sending a “thorn in the flesh” so that Paul wouldn’t be exalted by the great revelations God had given him. Paul shines light on God by stating, “God shows personal favoritism to no man.”
In this world it’s all about who you know, or the groups you associate with. Our world is driven by fame, money and stature. God looks past all of that to our hearts. The scriptures are so true… “We all have sinned and fallen short of the kingdom of God.” Thank God for grace through Jesus!
