Fall Down and Worship

Matthew 2:11

11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

I can only imagine the excitement and extreme joy that must have overtaken the wise men as they looked upon God manifested in the flesh.  Immediately they fell down before the Baby and worshipped Him. Then they presented their treasures to the King of Kings - gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

As I think about this wonderful setting I realize this same Baby grew up and died for our sins.  He rose on the 3rd day for us so that we wouldn’t have to search for His physical body.  Instead, by accepting His sacrifice on the cross, we can live with His Presence through the Holy Spirit, Who lives in us. 

Have you worshipped God today?  Are you ready to give all of your precious treasures to Him?  What an awesome God we serve!
