Examine My Heart, Lord

Psalm 26:2

“Examine me, O Lord, and [a]prove me;
Try my mind and my heart.”

 

When something is wrong with our bodies we usually go to the doctor for an examination.  Blood panels may even be ordered to try to assess the problem.  But God tells us exactly what the problem is.  Our hearts are desperately wicked.

Many people chose to ignore this problem.  They don’t allow God to examine their hearts and provide the solution to our ailment.  I thank God for Jesus, who is the only one who can heal us of this dreaded disease called sin.  He is the cure!
