Don't Cut Your Life Short!

Numbers 14: 36 - 38

“Now the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation complain against him by bringing a bad report of the land, 37 those very men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the Lord. 38 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive, of the men who went to spy out the land.”

I think we all desire to have a long life and good health, but complaining can shorten your life! I could refer to a lot of scientific studies that prove when people are discontent and complain it has a negative effect on their health.  

Joshua and Caleb choose to step out in faith and believe God.  They choose to focus on the potential in the new land instead of its limitations.  The other spies complained and brought a bad report. Their complaining was infectious, it infiltrated the entire Israelite camp.
