Do You Know Him?
Matthew 16: 13 - 17
13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
Who is Jesus to you? Is He just someone you meet when you go to a physical building called a church? Is He just a name you use to end your prayers? Is He someone you greatly respect but only know through a deacon or other church leader? The questions could go on and on.
The real question is, “Do you know Him as the Christ, the Son of the Living God?” Has the Father revealed His Son to you personally? If you truly know Jesus then He wants to reveal Himself to you more and more each day. He wants you to grow to be more like Him. He wants you to be His example of light to this dark world. People yearn to see the transformative power of God in us.
If you don’t truly know Him I pray you meet Him today!
