The greeting the Apostle Paul extends to the Galatians serves as a profound reminder of our position in Christ, even when the world around us seems to be unraveling. Galatians 1:3-5 (NKJV) says:
> 3 "Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen."
**We are definitely living in evil times.**
Murders, environmental crises, political upheavals, and wars—these are the headlines we consume daily. We hear of them so often that they have become common, sadly losing much of their shock value. It feels as though society is discarding its moral compass, with people increasingly doing whatever seems right in their own eyes.
But the Spirit encourages us with this truth: **Jesus has paid the price for our sins and delivered us from this present evil age.**
We are covered! Our salvation is not just a hope for the future; it is a current reality. Because He chose us out of this world, we no longer belong to its systems or its inevitable decay. Jesus warned us that this friction with the world would happen. In John 15:18-19, He taught:
> 18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”
If you feel like you don't fit in, or if the current state of the world feels heavy on your heart, remember these words. That discomfort is evidence of your citizenship in a Kingdom that is not of this age.
**Christ is truly our peace in these troubled times.**
Do not let the chaos of the world distract you from the calm of His presence. The world may be filled with upheaval, but our Savior remains on the throne. Stay close to Him, walk in His grace, and let His peace guard your heart. We have been delivered, we are kept, and we belong to Him forever.
