But God, Why?

Romans 9: 14 - 16 “What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! 15 For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” 16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.”

The reality is that God can do whatever He likes. That’s why we call Him God! I talk with so many who ask the question “If God is all powerful then why does He allow _________ to happen?” They believe that if God were real and truly good He wouldn’t allow so many terrible things to happen.

According to this scripture God will "have mercy on whomever I will have mercy and compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” Mercy and compassion are a part of who God is. Whenever you begin to doubt God, just look for His mercy and compassion. You won’t have to look far!
